Children's Ministry

God calls His children to make disciples, “..go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you… Matthew 28:19, 20

As God’s children, we must tell others of God’s great love for us. How can we do this? By knowing God’s Word, walking in the Spirit, loving others, praying, and worshiping together. At FFC we strive to teach the Gospel to all the children that come into our care. We do this through teaching the Word of God. Also, to make teaching possible all the people who serve are required to go through a background check as well as child protection training. We strive to work alongside of and partner with parents and we count it a privilege to be a part of the process of teaching and training children in our church.

We have several times during the week that the children have specific age oriented teaching times. On Sunday mornings beginning at 9:30am, there are Sunday Bible classes for all ages. During our morning worship service, there is a short object lesson and then the children (ages 3 through grade 5) leave with their teachers to attend Jr. Church. During this time there will be singing as well as a Bible lesson, hands on activities, and a memory verse time. On Wednesdays, all ages gather in the sanctuary for a special time of singing and announcements for upcoming events. At 7pm, the different ages split up and go to their respective areas. We have something for everyone and it starts with the nursery. Children in Kindergarten through grade 5 join in the Fellowship Hall for Kidz Club where again, children have an opportunity to learn the Word of God through teaching and bible memorization. Join us for a fun and exciting time together!

SONSHINE KIDS - Special Needs Ministry

God has called us to share the love of Jesus and His desire that ALL come to know Him as Lord and Savior. We provide a nurturing environment that allows all individuals to grow in faith and to become all that God has created them to be. Through this ministry, we strive to strengthen families who face daily challenges of disabilities through support, family worship experiences and mentoring relationships. We desire to stimulate an increased awareness in the church and community of the gifts and abilities of people with disabilities.

The Sonshine Kids Ministry is for children with special needs. Our desire is for all children to be taught God's Word at their level of understanding. We will have a trained servant "buddy" who will stay with your child as they participate in all class activities.

If you have a child with special needs and are interested in having him/her matched with a special buddy please contact the director of the Sonshine Ministry, Lisa Woodard at (716) 937-6049.

Download and print a Sonshine Kids brochure and intake sheet. Fill out and return to Lisa Woodard.

I look forward to serving your child in the Special Needs Ministry. The Lord has allowed me to graduate with a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and to obtain licensure within New Your State to serve children with various communication needs. The Lord has blessed me with becoming a part of this wonderful ministry and I can't wait to see how He will continually bless the families here at Faith Fellowship Church.
