Job Description:
Faith Fellowship Church is looking for a full time pastor who is devoted to studying and teaching God’s Word, prayer, discipleship, biblical counseling, ministry planning, and evangelism.

The Senior Pastor must be a follower of Christ who loves, faithfully cares for, and protects the flock. The biblical qualification for an elder is to love the Jesus of the gospel with all his heart and to live out the ramifications of that gospel in all of his life.

A candidate must exhibit mature Christian character consistent with Titus, 1 Timothy, Acts 20, 1 Peter 5, and Ephesians 5.

Being elder-led, staff-equipped, and ministry team-driven, we seek a man who is looking for an opportunity to lead our church into the next great season of its mission. Ideally, we are looking for a pastor who excels in communicating the truth of God’s word, possesses demonstrated abilities in leadership and organizational management, and has experience helping the church establish a meaningful presence in the local community. Additionally, he should work well in a collaborative environment to help us to stretch and grow to the glory of Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities include:
-Preaching Sunday mornings
-Teaching both small groups and one-on-one
-Studying God’s Word for personal growth
-Praying for the spiritual and physical needs of the flock
-Discipling and training individuals to become leaders
-Evaluating needs, providing counseling, and planning ministries
-Shepherding the flock towards spiritual maturity
-Sharing the gospel within and outside the church family
-Promoting the mission and purpose of FFC
-Working closely as an equal member of and being accountable to a Board of Elders
-Officiating weddings and funerals and doing hospital visitations

Required qualifications include:
-Should have at least 5 years of pastoral experience
-Live a life demonstrating the appropriate scriptural characteristics of a pastor/elder
(repentant, humble, prayerful, Spirit-led).

Preferred qualifications include:
-Experience with Biblical counseling, based on the sufficiency of scripture
-Experience serving in a church of 200+
-Values close fellowship within the church family
-Values building relationships with and serving the local community
-Attends to and oversees ministry teams in all age groups
-An ideal candidate will be excited about working with a suburban church within a
small community
-Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in a ministry field preferred.
